Using Automapper

A VB program to process automaps created in TheSky.

NOTE: Beta 1.1B is now released for testing. It includes new features that are not yet included in the documentation.

Automapper is a brand-new program I am writing to simplify automapping. It's in a very simple state right now, but will grow in features over the next couple of months. Check back regularly to see if there is a new version. Please report bugs to me via email.

There are two steps in the process of using Automapper:

• Create an automap file in TheSky. This file contains target points for an automated mapping run.
• Run Automapper, which will use TheSky and CCDSoft to map the points in the automap file.

You can also download source code for an earlier version of Automapper. This will show you a lot about how to write VB code for CCDSoft and TheSky.

How to follow this documentation

Click on the figure numbers at left to display figures in this window. In some situations, you will also see matching text in the bottom frame, or you can use the bottom frame to add notes using FrontPage or another web page editor when you copy these files to your local machine, or receive them on CD-ROM.
